Meet your Guides

Hello! We’re Jeff & Suzi, custodians of this unique Kiwi experience. There’s nothing we love more than showing visitors (and locals!) around the stunning vistas of the Banks Peninsula’s Eastern Bays. The area has a fascinating history which Jeff will impart over the course of your tour. We look forward to hosting you!

Tour Details

Your tour includes natural and social history commentary, free tea or coffee with homemade snacks, a historic church visit and a stop at one of NZ’s longest running country stores, a short beach walk and plenty of photo opportunities and comfort stops.

The tour operates Monday to Friday, all year round except on public holidays.

We leave central Akaroa (78 Rue Lavaud) at 9am and arrive back there at approximately 2pm.

***** #1 THING TO DO IN AKAROA This is a great way to see the outer peninsula from the safety of a van being driven by Jeff the local postie who knows all the roads, corners, bridges, intersections and people along the way. Jeff gave us a commentary along the way about the history and character of each bay we went into. Highly recommended. We had a week in Akaroa and this trip was easily the best activity we did.
